An independent, unofficial educational resource
Ten days to working confidently with Claude.
The Field Guide for Humans is a hands-on path, not a feature tour. One day at a time, you build the habits that make Claude genuinely useful — for real work, not demos.
Start with Day 1 → All chapters →What it is
One lesson a day, in order.
Each day is one lesson: a short video, a written guide, and a quick check to see what landed. Ten days, in order — foundations first, then Claude Code, the developer platform and connectors, and finally putting it all together. Do them in sequence; they build.
The through-line
Six habits, not a list of tricks.
One idea runs through all ten days: the difference between using Claude and using it well is a handful of habits.
- Be specific — say what you want, for whom, in what form.
- Structure complexity — give hard requests a shape.
- Reason on hard things — let Claude think before it answers.
- Stay in the loop — review the work; don’t rubber-stamp it.
- Verify against reality — check claims before you act on them.
- Iterate — the second attempt is almost always the better one.
Companion materials
Workbook & brochure.
Alongside the daily lessons: the Workbook Companion, a printable exercise set that turns each day into practice you can keep a record of, and a short brochure introducing the series. Both are free. See resources →
